Federal Executive Secretariats (Exec Secs) provide executive, management, and business systems support and services, as well as advice and counsel to and on behalf of the heads of their respective departments and agencies. While specific Exec Sec responsibilities and organizational structures vary, most federal Exec Secs have responsibility for management of documents that inform policy decisions and reach stakeholders, including Congress and the public.
The Council of Federal Executive Secretariats brings together executive secretariat leadership from federal departments and agencies to discuss best practices, common challenges, and technology advances that facilitate Exec Sec work. The Council’s monthly meetings and this website provide an opportunity for exchange of ideas and bilateral/multilateral collaboration across the government.
This site has been established to help Exec Sec employees connect with their colleagues. It is designed to benefit and assist them in supporting the missions of their respective departments and agencies.
